Octoberfest is the biggest and best of all the events, with the homemade apple butter, which is made from early Friday morning until Saturday morning, when the party folks arrive. Many of the jars are still warm when the folks purchase them. The concession stand, with such things as hot dogs, soft drinks, and homemade cakes and pies, is open during the entire festival. Vendors of arts and crafts are lined up for your enjoyment and purchasing pleasures. A variety of different bluegrass bands, that play all day from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm or later, keep your toes tapping and the dancers active.
